Good Night Sleep Devices Website Development

About the Project

Project Overview

I designed and built the full website for Good Night Sleep Devices, a private sleep apnea practice led by Dr. David F. Urich, DDS, serving patients across Solana Beach and San Diego. The site was built on WordPress and structured around three core service areas: Sleep Assessment, Device Creation, and Ongoing Care, mapping directly onto the actual path a patient takes from first suspecting a problem to receiving long-term treatment.

The design prioritized trust and clarity above all else, reflecting the practice's 100% money-back guarantee and Dr. Urich's 20+ years of experience at exactly the moments a hesitant visitor would need that reassurance most. Every page was written to explain a genuinely complex medical offering in language a first-time visitor could follow without a clinical background, while still respecting the accuracy the subject matter demands.

Beyond the initial build, I continue to manage ongoing SEO strategy and content operations for the practice through PublishPoint, including a growing blog built specifically to compound organic visibility over time. The relationship didn't end at launch, it shifted into active, ongoing management aimed at consistently attracting new patients well past the site's original release.

About page for Good Night Sleep Devices

The Issue

A private medical practice needs a site that does two things at once: explain a complex clinical offering, sleep apnea treatment and custom device creation, in language a first-time visitor can actually follow, and build enough trust that someone in discomfort is willing to book a consultation. Most healthcare sites fail at one or the other, either the clinical detail overwhelms a visitor before they understand what's being offered, or the site oversimplifies to the point it no longer feels credible. Get the structure wrong and patients either bounce before understanding the offering, or understand it but don't trust the practice enough to reach out.

The site also needed to be built for the long term, not just launched and left. Search visibility for a local healthcare practice depends on continued SEO and content work, new pages, ongoing keyword targeting, a blog that actually gets maintained, not a one-time build that quietly stops attracting new visitors the month after it goes live.

My Role & Impact

Site Architecture

Structured the entire site around three core service areas, Sleep Assessment, Device Creation, and Ongoing Care, mapping directly to the patient journey from first concern to long-term treatment.

Content & Copy

Developed service pages translating a complex medical offering into language a first-time visitor can actually follow, without losing the clinical accuracy the subject matter demands.

Lead Generation

Implemented a patient interest registration form to convert visitor interest directly into booked consultations, reducing the friction between reading a page and reaching out.

Ongoing SEO

Continue managing search strategy and content operations through PublishPoint, building landing pages and blog content targeted at the keywords most likely to bring new patients to the site.

The Process

  • Mapped the actual patient journey before touching the sitemap, tracing how someone moves from first suspecting a sleep issue, to assessment, to receiving a custom device, to ongoing care, and structured the site's three core sections around that real path rather than a generic service list. Every navigation decision traced back to that journey, so a visitor never had to guess what came next.
  • Made every design decision with trust in mind, surfacing the practice's money-back guarantee and Dr. Urich's 20+ years of experience at exactly the points a hesitant visitor would need that reassurance most. Nothing about the layout was decorative, each element was there to move someone from uncertain to willing to book, whether that meant a testimonial placed right before a call-to-action or credentials surfaced earlier than a typical service page would show them.
  • Built a patient interest registration form directly into the site's flow, so interest could convert into a consultation without extra steps or a second destination to navigate to. The goal was removing friction at the exact moment someone decided they were ready to reach out, since even a small delay at that point is often enough for a hesitant visitor to close the tab and never come back.
  • Shifted into ongoing management through PublishPoint once the site went live, building landing pages and blog content targeted at the keywords most likely to bring new patients to the site. The build was the start of the relationship, not the end of it, and the content strategy has kept evolving based on what's actually driving traffic and conversions since launch.

The Solution

Delivered a production-ready healthcare website that supports active patient acquisition for Good Night Sleep Devices, structured around the real patient journey rather than a generic template. Every section, from the first service page to the registration form, was built to move a hesitant visitor toward booking a consultation, not just to describe what the practice offers, and that distinction shows up in how the site is actually structured, not just in what it says.

The project also established an ongoing client relationship through PublishPoint, and built a site structure designed to keep growing in search performance well past the initial launch. Landing pages and blog content continue to expand the site's reach into new keyword territory, and that combination, a trust-focused build plus continued SEO management, is what actually sustains new patient acquisition over time rather than a single traffic spike after launch that fades once the momentum from going live wears off.
