Second Row to Systems Architect

Technology shouldn't outrun the people it's meant to serve.
Kaeden is where innovation and responsibility move forward together.

The Origin Story

A Problem Worth Solving

kaeden

Hi, I'm Kaeden. I'm Co-Founder and Owner of PublishPoint, Systems Administrator at Optigy Group, and I'm pursuing my BS and MS in Information Science at CU Boulder through the BAM pathway. My work spans AI-driven platforms, scalable data systems, and the policy questions that shape how both get used.

I grew up in England and attended Embley, where I found my interest in computers and technology alongside a full sports schedule: Second Row for the Rugby First XV, Central Defender for Hockey, and captain of the Cricket First XI. Those years built the discipline and teamwork that still shape how I work. After moving to San Diego, I attended San Marcos High while starting my career in tech, beginning at Staffing Future as an SEO Manager at 16 and moving into a Technical Support Specialist role, all while finishing my diploma and an AA at MiraCosta College.

I transferred to CU Boulder, joined the College of Media, Communication and Information, and was accepted into the Bachelor's-Accelerated Master's program. I now pursue my BS and MS in Information Science while co-founding PublishPoint and working as a Systems Administrator at Optigy Group. I like taking an idea from zero to one and scaling it, whether that's a content platform, a recruitment system, or the next thing I build.

Across all of it, my focus stays the same: build AI-driven platforms people actually trust, design data systems that support real decisions, and ground the technology in the ethics and policy that should guide it.

Outside of work, the same drive that had me captaining teams in England shows up in how I lead now, whether that's a small team at PublishPoint or a classroom of students working through information ethics. I kept playing rugby after moving to the States and picked up basketball along the way too. Away from the screen, you'll usually find me watching Arsenal or out on a go-kart track chasing a faster lap time. I'm always open to new opportunities, collaboration, and conversations about where AI, data, and policy are headed next. If you're working on something in this space, I'd love to hear about it.

How I Work

What Makes Me Different

I don't just build the platform. I think through who it's for and what it should be held to.

Growing Up in England

I grew up in the English school system, at Embley, where I found my footing in computers and technology and never quite let go. Sports took up just as much of me. Second Row for the Rugby First XV, Central Defender for Hockey, and captain of the Cricket First XI. Those years taught me discipline and teamwork before I had words for either, and that competitive drive still shows up today.

Starting Early in San Diego

When I moved to San Diego, I started building a career in tech before I'd even finished high school. At 16, I took a job at Staffing Future as an SEO Manager, and by the time I moved into a Technical Support Specialist role, I'd picked up real experience in web development, project management, and analytics. All of it happened alongside my diploma at San Marcos High and an AA at MiraCosta College, not after.

CU Boulder & BAM Pathway

Transferring to CU Boulder, I earned my place in the College of Media, Communication and Information and was accepted into the Bachelor's-Accelerated Master's (BAM) program. I'm now pursuing my MS in Information Science while working across multiple ventures and serving as a Course Assistant for Information Ethics and Policy.

Building & Leading Today

Today I co-founded PublishPoint and work as a Systems Administrator at Optigy Group, all while finishing my degrees. I thrive on taking an idea from zero to one and scaling it, PublishPoint is exactly that. That same drive shows up in smaller projects too, a personal SQL sandbox, or building a website. Whatever the project, I'm always building something.
